Hyderabad: Kesamudram station gets new building

Adarsh Railway Station has been renovated and upgraded at a cost of Rs 1.35 crores.

Hyderabad: A new station building was inaugurated at Kesamudram on Saturday.

Adarsh Railway Station has been renovated and upgraded at a cost of Rs 1.35 crores. Among the facilities introduced for passengers are a general waiting hall, new pay-and-use washrooms, and booking machines to encourage the use of digital transactions. 

An automatic ticket vending machine has been installed, and a special walkway and booking counter have been constructed exclusively for senior citizens.

The station handles 24 express and passenger trains, which carry an average of 1,842 passengers each, on a daily basis. It earns about Rs 59,000 every day.
