Mancherial: A woman, Jyoti, claiming to be the daughter of Kondapalli Mallaiah, said that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s statement regarding the land belonging to farmer K. Sharath was issued without proper verification.

The audio clip in which Mr Rao spoke with Mr Sharath had gone viral, and was rebutted by Ms Jyoti,

She said her father Mallaiah and Mr Sharath’s father Shankaraiah were cousins. She claimed that they had a joint property of 2.25 acres in Survey No. 270 and 7.1 acre in Survey No. 271 on the outskirts of Nandulapalli in Nennela mandal in Mancherial district.

She said Mr Shankariah asked for his share in 2.25-acre land for which patta was on the name of her grandfather Rajalingu. She said the same logic should be applied to the 7.1 acre too because it was joint property.

According to her, Mr Shankaraiah got 7.1 acre land registered on his name through fraudulent means, without offering a share to his cousin Mallaiah’s family though it was a joint property.

She said Mr Shankaraiah’s son Sharath had made false allegations against her family. She claimed Mr Sharath had misguided officials and even the Chief Minister with false information.

She found fault with the CM taking a unilateral decision in favour of Mr Sharath without ordering an inquiry into the land dispute or consulting the villagers.
