Visakhapatnam: The South Central Railway's Vijayawada Division marked the 74th Indian Constitution Day with a spirit of unity and patriotism, upholding the principles enshrined in the Constitution of India.

At the Divisional Office in Vijayawada, Divisional Railway manager Narendra A. Patil led the celebrations by reading out the Preamble of the Constitution. He emphasised the importance of the Constitution as the bedrock of Indian democracy, safeguarding the rights and freedoms of all citizens.

The commemoration extended beyond the divisional office, with staff and officers at various stations, workshops, and depots within the division actively participating in reading the Preamble.

Additionally, a quiz on the Indian Constitution was conducted through the MyGov.in portal, encouraging virtual engagement and fostering a deeper understanding of the Constitution's provisions.

To raise awareness among passengers about Constitution Day, railway stations and trains were adorned with banners and posters highlighting the significance of India's foundational document.

These visual reminders served as a testament to the enduring relevance of the Constitution in shaping India's democratic landscape.
