Hyderabad: Woman killed as lorry hits scooter

The woman was identified as A. Ramya, 28, native of Vizag, and a private employee.

Hyderabad: A 28-year-old woman died when a tipper lorry hit the bike on which she was travelling with her husband at ICICI Lombard signal in Gachibowli on Saturday morning.

The woman was identified as A. Ramya, 28, native of Vizag, and a private employee.

According to the police, the deceased along with her husband was returning home after visiting the Chilkur Balaji temple. Gachibowli sub-inspector Ramesh said, “When they reached ICICI Lombard signal in Gachibowli, a tipper lorry hit their scooter from behind resulting in the death of pillion rider Ramya.”

Ramya's husband Praveen, 28, sustained severe injuries and is undergoing treatment at Continental hospital.
