Alappuzha: CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan on Saturday blamed RSS and BJP for the attack on the ashram of Swami Sandeepananda Giri. Speaking to repor-ters at Guest House here, Mr. Balakrishnan termed the attack as an assassination bid. “It was a pre-planned atta-ck. The attack was the conspiracy of RSS and BJP for appeasing BJP president Amit Shah. They attacked the ashram on the same day of BJP president's visit to Kerala. The RSS and Sangh Parivar forces are trying to eliminate all those who support the Supreme Court verdict allowing the entry of women of all ages into Sabarim-ala temple,” he said.

Mr. Balakrishnan has demanded a comprehensive probe in to the attack. He said that the State government was ready to provide security to Swami Sandeepananda Giri.
