Telangana: Special educators up in arms against unqualified teachers
The forum noted that around 15,85,582 teachers have been trained under the MHRD scheme for five days.
Hyderabad: The Special Educators’ Forum India has filed a complaint with the department of social justice and empowerment against non-registered professionals who are teaching children with special needs.
States are giving specific training for teachers on Braille, cognitive impairments and others. “Two lakh teachers have been trained to teach low vision and one lakh to teach cerebral palsy. hit students. The forum noted that around 15,85,582 teachers have been trained under the MHRD scheme for five days.
Teaching children with disabilities without the RCI certification is punishable under Section 13(3) of the RCI Act, 1992.
