Hyderabad: Mercury to stay up by 3 degrees till May 1

Temperature to rise as Cyclone Fani passes through TN & AP.

Hyderabad: Temperatures in Telangana state are going to peak till May 1 at 2-3 degrees above the normal temperature due to the Cyclone Fani. While the cyclone crosses over Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh on 30th April, temperatures in Telangana have been predicted to remain above normal as heat wave conditions will continue to prevail, explained weather expect Mahesh Palawat. Light rainfall has been forecast.

Nizamabad recorded 3 degrees above the usual temperature, and the highest temperature in the district was recorded on Saturday at 44.4 degrees Celsius.

Similarly, Ramagundam has also been noted to be at 3 degrees above the normal temperature, while Hyderabad and adjoining districts recorded 2 degrees above the normal temperature.

Temperatures began to rise early in the morning from 41 degrees Celsius and reached 43 to 44 degrees Celsius by mid-afternoon in Adilabad, Ramagundam, Medak, Mahabubnagar and Nalgonda.

Hyderabad recorded an average temperature of 41 degrees Celsius, with a few parts recording 39 degrees Celsius.

from the region are responsible for the completely dry weather that the state is currently experiencing.

The weather will continue to remain dry and relief is expected only after 3rd May when temperatures are expected to return to the normal of 40 degrees Celsius.
