RK Nagar EVMs to host 62 candidates

According to the final list of candidates, four registered parties including the DMK, BJP and CPI (M) are in the fray.

Chennai: The battle lines for the high profile RK Nagar by-poll were drawn on Monday with poll officials releasing the final list of 62 candidates in the fray.  Independent candidate J. Deepa, niece of J.Jayalalithaa, will contest on the boat symbol for the April 12 by-poll.

The AIADMK factions led by O. Panneerselvam and TTV Dhinakaran will contest on the symbols of the ‘Electric pole’ and ‘Hat’, which are allocated for independents.

According to the final list of candidates, four registered parties including the DMK, BJP and CPI (M) are in the fray.
