Congress demands repoll in Jubilee Hills seat due to unsealed VVPATs

Hyderabad: The Congress has alleged that VVPAT slips were missing. In a representation to Hyderabad district election officer M. Dana Kishore, they said their representative had noticed that VVPATs of Jubilee Hills were unsealed and no slips are available.

The Congress said that according to election rules the seals of EVMs and VVPATs should be retained for 45 days after the elections, which is the period for filing election petitions. The Congress expressed doubt that similar irregularities took place in other constituencies. Congress leader Niranjan has demanded a reelection from the Jubilee Hills constituency.
