Family of muslim man donates six organs to scheme

Hyderabad: Six organs of 26-year-old Mahabub Basha from Kurnool district were donated to the Jeevandan scheme. Basha is the third Muslim whose organs have been donated.  

Mahabub Basha was walking back home on October 20 when a two-wheeler hit him at Hussainipuram in his village Banaganapally. He suffered head injuries and was rushed to a local private hospital for treatment. On October 24, he was shifted to Global Hospitals at Lakdi-ka-pool but he did not respond to treatment. 

On October 26, he was declared brain dead. His wife and brother agreed to donate his organs.
