Guntur: Rural girl creates 101 websites

GUNTUR: An engineering student, belonging to a remote village with agriculture background in Guntur district, created 101 websites in 40 days and secured place in the Wonder Book of Records. K. Rajita, a fourth year B.Tech student of Narasaraopeta Engineering College, Narasaraopeta, created 101websites and started a web-designing startup, Altech Trend, a year ago. Rajita said she got training in web-designing as there was no guarantee about she being employed after completion of her degree.

She is planning to develop Altech Trend into a web-based service company. She said she designed websites on cloud computing, big data, programming languages, music, dance and other subjects too. "Knowing about my work, two companies have ordered for creating websites and she received projects for four more projects."

She said there were a lot of chances in the service sector to make mobile and computer-based applications. NEC director Dr M. Chakravarthi said NEC started Andhra Ideators to promote students in innovation, with the cooperation of Global Business Incubators. The NEC director said AP minister for human resources Ganta Srinivasa Rao praised the efforts of Rajita.
