CBSE schools in Malabar fare well

95 per cent of schools register 100 per cent success.

KOZHIKODE: “Best in the recent times” was the response of a majority of CBSE schools in Malabar after the results of Class 12 exams came on Saturday.  Also for the first time, all toppers were girls, scoring the record marks for their respective schools in almost every subject. According to officials of Sahodaya School Complexes of the five districts, 95 per cent of the schools registered 100 percent success, with a significant increase in those scoring above 75 per cent.

“Maybe in the history of past one decade, this is the best score,” said Geetha, principal of Rani Public School here.  "In my school, out of the 134 candidates, we have 100 per cent pass in commerce stream and 99 per cent in science. Science topper is Jannat Hiba with 95.2 per cent, whereas Adra Vijayan topped with 93 per cent in commerce." 

Vedavyasa Vidyalayam scored 100 per cent pass with science topper Sreelakshmi Sanam scoring 98 per cent, commerce topper Krishna 97.6 percent and Mathematics topper 100 per cent. Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Chevayur, secured 100 per cent pass percentage, with science topper Ranjana Nataraj getting 97 per cent, commerce topper Akash Rajeev 97 per cent and Meenakshi Mohan of Biology group 96.2 per cent.

Giving the school one of the best results lately, Silver Hills Public School scored 100 percent pass and 17 out of the 114 students who appeared bagged above 95 per cent. For the consecutive five years, the Arakkilad Amrita Vidyalayam registered 100 per cent pass. Here, science topper Siddharth received 95 per cent. 

Beeline, Sree Gokulam Public School and few other city CBSE schools also come under 100 per cent pass bracket. The CBSE schools in Malappuram are on cloud nine, as out of the 935 students who took the exam, everyone passed with best scores.  Like previous years, Kannur, Wayanad and Kasargod repeated the same winning series and hit 100 per cent.
