Telangana: Techies seek to hide identity in complaints

Hyderabad: Some of the software professionals, who have  lost their jobs over the last few weeks have been approaching the Telangana Labour department seeking justice. Asked to file a written complaint, however, they are filing their grievances in the name of certain unions that are non-existent in government records.

“The complaint is being written on the letter head of some non-existent organisaton. There are no details about the president or the executive body of the so-called union. In such a situation how can these letters be accepted by the department,” labour officials stated.

Some of the employees of Tech Mahindra approached the labour department under the name of Forum for IT Employees (FITE). This forum is based in Chennai. It is assisting sacked techies in places like Hyderabad in lodging complaints with government departments in various cities.

However, the letter was not accepted and each of the affected techie had to give an individual representation highlighting their problem.
