3 injured as car overturns in Chevella

 Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, two persons were thrown out of a car in which they were travelling in while a co-passenger got trapped inside the vehicle when their car lost control and turned turtle at Chevella under Cyberabad commissionerate limits on the city outskirts. All three sustained grave injuries, the police said.

The occupants are identified as D. Mahipal, B. Srikanth and K. Krishna Reddy and are admitted to a nearby private hospital.

The videos of the incident went viral on social media, once again explaining the importance of wearing seatbelts. “Implications of not wearing a seatbelt and overspeeding at curves. A nonfatal accident in Chevella PS limits. Wear a Seatbelt. Be Safe,” Cyberabad traffic police wing shared the footage of the incident in Twitter.

According to Chevella police, who are investigating the case, the occupants of the car were returning home after attending a function. As they reached Chevella crossroads, Mahipal who was behind the wheel, lost control while negotiating a curve, due to which the vehicle veered off to the right, hit the divider and flung in the air. After a brief period in the air, the car landed on the road and turned turtle. During the landing, Mahipal and Srikanth were thrown out of the vehicle from the side doors and Krishna Reddy got trapped inside. A case has been registered.
