Bengaluru: No bail for Yuva brigade leader Naresh Shenoy

The High Court while dismissing her plea, has observed that there are no violation of bail conditions as alleged in the petition.

Bengaluru: The Karnataka High Court had dismissed the petition, which had sought for cancellation of bail granted to Yuva Brigade leader Naresh Shenoy, the prime accused in the RTI activist Vinayak Baliga murder case.

The petition was filed by Anuradha Baliga, the victim's sister who had challenged the order of the lower court which had dismissed her plea seeking to cancel the bail granted to the prime accused in the murder case.

The High Court while dismissing her plea, has observed that there are no violation of bail conditions as alleged in the petition.

Vinayak Baliga was hacked to death near his house at Kala Kunj Road, Kodialbail on March 21, 2016.

PLEA OVER TRANSFER OF POLICE OFFICERS: HC ISSUES NOTICE

The High Court on Tuesday has ordered notice to State Government, Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary Home Department and Police Establishment Board. The court passed the orders following a petition filed by V Shashidhar, seeking special investigation against the MLAs who issue letters seeking favour for transfer of police officers contrary to the decision of the High Court and Supreme Court.
