Dhanvantari award for Dr D Nageshwar Reddy

Hyderabad: Dr D. Nageshwar Reddy was awarded the Dhanvantari award for gastroenterology by the Dhanvantari Medical Foundation for his work in the field of gastroenterology and medical science.

 Dr D. Nageshwar Reddy is also a Padma Bhushan awardee and this recognition comes due to the continuous efforts at innovating new cost effective techniques in treating liver and pancreatic cancer. The new techniques have made treatments more affordable to patients. Dr Reddy is the chairman and chief of gastroenterology at the Asian Institute of Gastroentrology.
