Andhra Pradesh: Applications invited from sportsmen

PDUNWFS supports outstanding sportspersons who are trying to restore glory to the nation.

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Sports Authority invites applications for Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay National Welfare Fund for Sportspersons (PDUNWFS). The Indian Sports ministry announced that the PDUNWFS is meant to support sportspersons by extending financial support, scholarships and pensions. 

The ministry decides to support the sportspersons living in poor, help of a maximum up to 5L and a monthly pension Rs 5,000. The scheme, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay National Welfare Fund is aimed at providing suitable assistance to outstanding sportspersons, those injured during the period of the training and competitions depending on the name of Injury.

PDUNWFS supports outstanding sportspersons who are trying to restore glory to the nation. Family members of the sportsperson, who are eligible for the PDLTNWFS, can apply to get the financial support or pension or both. N. Bangarraju, vice-chairman and MD, SAAP, said that all the eligible can apply online through www.apsports.in and obtain all the necessary help.
