Hyderabad: The frequent disruptions experienced by those registering property due to technical glitches in the online system will end from October.

The TS stamps and registrations department has set up its own online registration system and the trial runs have been said to be successful. The system would be in place from the first week of October.

The TS department continues to rely on the system set up in the undivided state even after bifurcation of state in 2014. The servers crash frequently, unable to cope with the increased property registrations in both the states.

The existing network has been linked to 141 sub-registrar offices in Telangana state and 270 in Andhra Pradesh.

Over the past year, registrations are being disrupted for at least two-three days every week. There are instances of the system not working up to two weeks in  a month.

Following this, the TS government decided to set up its own online registration platform. It entered into an agreement with RailTel Corporation of Indian Railways, which is one of the country’s largest infrastructure provider of optic fibre network. Technical support is provided by SWAN (State Wide Area Network).

Deputy Chief Minister and revenue minister Mohd Mahmood Ali said the new system would include a multi-protocol label switching system.

This will ensure that no problem would crop up in the network in future even if there are a large number of property registrations lined up on any single day.
