Protest against Jammu & Kashmir bifurcation

The demonstrators raised slogans against the BJP Government at the Centre led by Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi.

Tiruchy: Members of the Tamilaga Muslim Munnetra Kazhagam (TMMK) led by its state treasurer Shafiullah Khan staged a demonstration at Anna statue here on Sunday, condemned Union Government’s “black acts” like Triple Talaq Bill, withdrawal of Article 370 and 35-A, with respect to Jammu and Kashmir and for bifurcating that state into two Union territories.

The demonstrators raised slogans against the BJP Government at the Centre led by Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi and against Union Home minister Sri Amit Shah.

Among others DMK leader K N Nehru, Tamilaga Valvurimai Katchi state president T. Velmurugan, Vidhuthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi’s state general secretary Sinthanai Selvan and others spoke at the protest rally.
