Nizamabad GGH goof-up leads to exchange of Covid bodies

NIZAMABAD: Two bodies of Covid-19 deceased were exchanged mistakenly at the Government General Hospital (GGH) in Nizamabad on Tuesday.

Galamani of Shivajinagar town succumbed while undergoing treatment. Instead of Galamani, the hospital staff handed over the body of Gangamani to the Galamani family members. The family members conducted last rites on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the Gangamani family noticed the exchange. Both families flayed the negligent attitude of GGH staff.

The hospital officials insisted that the bodies were handed over only after they were identified by family members.
