Malappuram free from Nipah virus

Surgical masks, gloves and PP kits have been made available at the control room.

Malappuram: The District Medical Office Dr K. Sakeena said that test result of serums collected from suspected patients were found to be negative. “It is confirmed that there is no Nipah virus presence in the district. The five samples collected from the suspected patients were was negative. Things are under control in the district,” she said.  

Surgical masks, gloves and PP kits have been made available at the control room. Doctors, health workers and private hospitals are asked to contact control room it they want the prevention gear.
