THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kummanam Rajasekharan and K. Surendran, BJP candidates in Thiruvananthapuram and Pathanamthitta respectively, will get the Nair Service Society(NSS) votes, according to  R. Balakrishna Pillai, 84, chairman of KC (B) and an ally of  the LDF.

The NSS leadership had taken  a favourable stand towards the BJP in Thiruvananthapuram and Pathanamthitta, he told DC.

The BJP national leadership hopes that it will win the two seats. Balakrishna Pillai maintained that NSS general secretary G. Sukumaran Nair never used to discuss issues with him  when he was in the  UDF.

"I am not aware of the NSS leadership supporting the BJP candidates in Thiruvananthapuram and Pathanamthitta. But several NSS leaders have been telling me about it for  several days.  Unofficially I have heard it and cannot vouch for its veracity," he said.

The  NSS has maintained an equidistance policy and favoured  the UDF. But this time, the NSS votes will go to Kummanam and  Surendran, he said.
