Chennai: A video has been doing its rounds on social media asking K.V. Sayan (37) and Valayar Manoj (42), both hailing from Thrissur and accused of dacoity and murder at former Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa's Kodanad Estate, to implicate Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami, in the case.

In the video, a person named Pradeep, wearing a white shirt is seen inviting them to a place. After they are seated, Pradeep engages in a conversation with the duo. Pradeep informs that they will escape from the cases, only if they implicate Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami.

He also informs the duo that a journalist in Delhi will take care of the rest of the work regarding the issue, and also informs that they should not withdraw their statement under any circumstances in future. Only then, they would be relieved from the cases, Pradeep adds.

It is alleged that after this conversation, Mathew Samuel, an investigative journalist, dropped a bombshell on January 11 releasing a documentary containing interviews of Sayan and Manoj regarding the circumstances of the crime at Kodanad Estate.

In the video footage which went viral on media, Sayan and Manoj alleged involvement of Chief Minister in the crime. Meanwhile, CM filed a civil suit in the Madras High court claiming Rs 1.10 crore towards damages from them.
