Hyderabad: The Rachakonda police on Sunday nabbed a notorious interstate burglar at Adibhatla and recovered Rs 11 lakh worth valuables from him. 

The police said Anup Singh was involved in similar offences in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and some other states. 

The police had earlier arrested his associate, Shylender Vishwakarma, who is involved in more than 50 burglary cases across seven states and recovered 1.4 kg gold and six live rounds of a country-made pistol from him.

Since then, Anup was absconding. Based on a tip-off, the police nabbed him while he was about to sneak into a house in Adibhatla.

According to the police, Anup Singh, 30, a resident of Bhopal, ran a tattoo  business at his place. He used move around in a car along with his associates and identified locked houses during the daytime.

Mr M. Venkateswar Rao, DCP,  LB Nagar, said that Anup was involved in six burglary cases under the Cyberabad commissionerate. Police recovered 23 tola gold worth Rs 7 lakh and a car from him.
