Election held for 'Telangana Bar Council'

Out of a total of 26 votes, Mr Narasimha Reddy garnered 14 and Mr Rao secured 12 votes.

Hyderabad: A. Narasimha Reddy was elected as chairman of the newly formed Bar Council of Telangana in on Saturday. Mr Reddy defeated his nearest rival Gandra Mohan Rao, who contested with the support of the ruling TRS, by a margin of two votes.

Out of a total of 26 votes, Mr Narasimha Reddy garnered 14 and Mr Rao secured 12 votes. 

Mr Narasimha Reddy  had  been  chairman  of the united Andhra Pradesh Bar Council consecutively for  two terms. K. Sunil Goud was elected as vice-chairman of the Council  with a coin toss as he and his opponent Dussa Janardhan got 10 votes each.
