Hyderabad: Festivals hit 2BHK project

Hyderabad: The 2BHK housing project in the city is encountering a unique problem. Work in about 70 locations has slowed down due to lack of manpower.
A senior GHMC official said that 60 per cent of construction workers on the 2BHK projects had migrated from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Kolkata. 

He said the contractors had told them that the workers had gone home for the Dasara festival. They would come back only after Diwali.The official said that even if the state government clears pending bills and gives additional funds, work would resume only after Diwali.
