CPM zonal meetings on July 3,4,5

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM state committee on Monday decided to have zonal meetings to place the central committee and state leadership evaluation report on the recent Lok Sabha polls. The zonal meetings will be held in Ernakulam, Kozhikode and Thiruvan-anthpuram on July 3, 4 and 5 respectively. This will be followed by general body meetings at the local level.

All top leaders including state secretariat, state committee, MPs, MLAs and elected representatives of local bodies will conduct house visits between July 22 and July 28 to strengthen party to people relationship. The leaders will explain the party stand on various issues and remove any doubts, allay fears about the party stand.

Anti-emergency day will be observed on June 26. At a press conference, Kodiyeri Balakrishnan said the party membership in the state stood at 5,14,781. This is 25,000 more than last year. Following CMP merger with CPM, 3160 persons have been given party membership.
