Warangal: During the last one month, Warangal city has seen a massive makeover as the TRS prepares to hold a massive public meeting as part of its formation day celebration on April 27.

Special grants have been released for development works to be taken up in the tri-cities. Taking this as an opportunity, the district administration and the GWMC are expediting several development works across the city.

New roads have been laid and new types of medians have been constructed in several areas. These medians have been filled with earth and saplings planted. Flower pots were also set up along the Hunter Road median. Artists have been summoned to decorate the walls of government buildings and others along the main roads.

The TRS workers, with a clear-cut target to organise a massive public meeting, are busy overseeing the construction of the dais for the event at Prakashreddypet.

The “decoration committee” is being headed by mayor N. Narender with MLA D. Vinay Bhaskar and MLC K. Muralidhar Rao being the members. As part of this, huge cut-outs of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao have been set up at various junctions. Hi-tech devices like LED screens, scrolling screens, helium light balloons, and other such decorative items are being used. Mr Narender said the decoration and other arrangements would be completed by April 26.
