One more arrested in TSPSC question paper leak case

Hyderabad: SIT officials, who are probing the TSPSC question paper leak, arrested one more person from Mahbubnagar on Saturday. This is the 13th arrest in the case. The accused Prashant Reddy had purchased a leaked question paper, the SIT said.

The SIT suspects that around 50 persons stationed abroad have appeared for the exams by preparing from the leaked papers. SIT officials served summons to an NRI based in Singapore asking him to appear for questioning. The NRI is a close relative of one of the employees in TSPSC.

Meanwhile, SIT officials took four persons —  Pulidindi Praveen Kumar, A. Rajashekar, Lavdyavath Dhakya and Kethawth Rajeswar into police custody following court directions. They will be questioned on Monday and Tuesday.

Reportedly Prashant Reddy purchased the leaked question paper from Praveen and Rajasekhar. It was believed that a print of the paper was sold for up to Rs 20 lakh.

The SIT also filed a petition seeking police custody of Ramesh, Suresh, and Shameem for questioning. The court posted the hearing to Monday.
