Hyderabad: A polio vaccination drive scheduled for February 3 has been postponed, triggering rumours of a shortage of the vaccine.

But the ministry issued a statement denying shortage of oral and inactivated polio vaccines in the country. It said the government has enough vaccines but was testing a bivalent oral polio vaccine. The polio vaccination drive is carried out twice a year. But this year, the government has decided to carry it out only once. The drive was earlier scheduled for February 3.
