Thiruvananthapuam: LDF has scaled up attack on Congress working president K. Sudhakaran over his objectionable comments against women notwithstanding the apology tendered by the former MP.

Faced with attack from various quarters, Sudhakaran tendered an apology. He said the remarks were not meant for hurting anyone. “If anyone is hurt I am really sorry for it,” he added.

However, the CPM is not ready to accept his apology. Party sources said the AIWDA leaders were exploring the possibility of filing a complaint with State Womens Commission over the gender insensitive comments.

The controversial remarks were made by Sudhakaran at a function in Kasargod on Wednesday.

Sudhakaran said, “When CPM workers hailed Pinarayi as a man with two hearts, we thought that, after becoming chief minister, he would do something like a man. Not only has he failed to act like a man, the reality shows that he has proved to be worse than a woman.”
