Telangana to experience thunderstorms in coming days, IMD issues yellow warning

Hyderabad: The weather bureau said on Saturday that the state was likely to experience thunderstorms at many places in the coming days.

As of Saturday, light to moderate rains and thundershowers with a wind speed of 40 kmph were experienced at isolated places in the districts of Adilabad, Hyderabad, Jagtial, Jogulamba Gadwal, Karimnagar, Khammam, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Mahbubabad, Mahbubnagar, Mancherial, Nagarkurnool, Nalgonda, Narayanpet, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Peddapalle, Rangareddy, Suryapet, Wanaparthy

The highest rainfall in the state was recorded at 82.3 mm in Nizamabad, followed by 71.3 mm in Kumaram Bheem, as per the Telangana State Development and Planning Society.

Light to moderate rains and thundershowers are very likely to occur at many places in the state in the next two days and a yellow warning has been issued by the IMD for thunderstorms accompanied with lightning.
