12-day Pushkaralu fete concludes at Srisailam

People rush to the Jeedipalli reservoir in Anantapur district on the concluding day of Krishna Pushkaralu on Tuesday.

ANANTAPUR: The 12-day Krishna Pushkaralu had concluded at Srisailam, Sangameswaram and other ghats on Tuesday. Srisailam executive officer Narayan Bharath Guptha accompanied by staff and other district officials offered pujas and harathi to Krishna River at Patalaganga ghat point.

About 1,116 devotees along with kalasams collected holy Krishna water to offer abhishekam for Lord Mallijarjuna Swamy at Srisailam. A couple of tribals from Chenchu Gudem also accompanied the EO. Srisailam MLA Budda Rajasekhar Reddy, Nagai MLA R.K. Roja, Nandyal municipal chairperson Sulochana accompanied the EO to offer kalasabhishekam to the lord. Meanwhile, devotees thronged at Jeedipalli reservoir in Atmakur mandal to take holy dip. APCC chief N. Raghuveera Reddy also took holy dip at Jeedipalli. Ministers Palle Raghunath Reddy and Paritala Sunitha had took part in fete here earlier.
