Bengaluru: To avert accidents on Yeshwanthpur flyover, the City Traffic Police and BBMP are installing metal reflectors on both sides of the walls.

The decision was taken following last week’s accident during which a mini lorry fell off the flyover, killing two people.

The flyover has witnessed several accidents as it has many curves and bends and no proper sign boards.

According to a senior traffic police officer, the reflectors will be installed this week and a railing will also be built to ensure that vehicles do not fall off the flyover.

The Yeshwantpur traffic police said that they are also planning to install cat eyes on the flyover which will help the motorists to know where the roads are leading to and when to slow down and take a turn.

On April 14, a lorry coming into the city from Pune with a load of mashrooms fell off the Yeshwanthpur flyover, killing the driver and his deputy.
