Bring back bodies fast, CM H D Kumaraswamy to envoy

Bengaluru: Amidst the grief of losing the kith and kin due to the one of the worst devastating serial blasts in Sri Lanka the relatives are facing the challenge of brining the bodies home, as the bodies have started to decompose, according to a relative of deceased Shivakumar, a JD(S) worker.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy tweeted stating that he has spoken to Indian High Commission at Sri Lanka to take stock of the situation and to expedite the process of bringing the mortal remains of the deceased to the state at the earliest.

Some of the bodies are reaching Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) on late Tuesday and early Wednesday.

Family members are waiting to take them back the bodies to India and perform the last rites, said a relative of a JDS worker who is killed in the blast.

As many as 321 people were killed in a chain of blasts that ripped through churches and hotels in Sri Lanka on April 21.
