Hyderabad: A criminal defamation case has been admitted before the magistrate at Rajendranagar court, Cyberabad against Maulana Azad National Urdu University chancellor Feroze Bakht Ahmed by professor Ehtesham Ahmad Khan.
Mr Ahmed had allegedly made defamatory comments against professor Ehtesham and had wrongly portrayed him as a ‘sexual predator’.
The allegations of Mr Ahmed were scrutinised by the internal complaints committee of the University but there was no evidence found.
The case pertains to representation of two girl students to Mr Ahmed of sexual harassment.
He said that the letter was sent to him on his WhatsApp number on October 18, 2018 by one of the victims.
Mr Ahmed had written to the ministry of human resource development and also the UGC. The statements were also released to the press.
