KOTTAYAM: The MG University has not filled at least 70 vacancies, including that of university assistants and computer assistants, due to financial problems. "The authorities cite financial problems  and  new appointments can be made  only after a proper study of the situation," Mr  N. Mahesh, president of the MG University employees union,  told DC. According to university sources,  227 were appointed as university assistants and 81 as  computer assistants from the new rank list.
