One held for trying to kill Hyderabad based realtor

The two accused had conspired to kill Nagender Reddy over financial disputes.

Police said the suspect, Mohammed Siddique, had hit the victim with a stick and bricks on the head.

Hyderabad: Petbasheerabad police on Thursday arrested a 46-year-old merchant for their alleged involvement in an attempt to murder realtor M. Nagender Reddy in November. The accused was identified as A. Shailender Kumar alias Chakravarthy alias Chakri.

Police said that he played a key role in the attack along with his friend Sai. They had conspired to kill Nagender Reddy over financial disputes.

Police said Sai opened fire twice at Nagender Reddy’s head, but the realtor caught hold of Sai’s hand just as he was firing the weapon.

One bullet missed the target and another hit Reddy’s shoulder. Sai was held by locals and handed over to the police. Nagender Reddy recovered from his injury.
