Hyderabad: Notice served on Daggubati Suresh Babu

Hyderabad: Notices were served on Tollywood producer Daggubati Suresh Babu following an accident where his car rammed head on into a scooter carrying a family of three and gravely injuring them late on Sunday night near Karkhana.
According to the police, the couple, identified as Satish Chandra, 35, Durga Devi, 30, and their three-year-old niece, Siddesh Chandra, suffered injuries and were rushed to hospital for treatment.
“We reached the spot and conducted a breathalyser check on Suresh Babu, who was driving his SUV bearing number TS 09 EX 2628, registered under Suresh Productions Private Limited. It was found that he was not inebriated,” said Anand, the officer investigating the case. “It was further revealed during preliminary enquiry that while Mr Daggubati was heading towards Bowenpally from Paradise, a tyre burst made him lose control, eventually colliding with a scooter on which the family was travelling from Lalaguda to KPHB. The accident occurred near Imperial Garden at around 11 pm,” Anand said adding that the police have not yet seized his car.
Based on a complaint from the victim’s relative, Boggula Sanjay Kumar, who was called on the scene by the police, a case was booked under Section 337 (causing hurt and endangering life or personal safety of others) of the IPC and a notice was issued under Section 41 of CrPC.
