Poor drainage continues to haunt Hyderabad
We request the concerned authorities to look into it and come up with a solution quickly.
Dangers of crossing roads in Hyd
Pedestrians and persons alighting from buses are crossing the heavy traffic roads to go to the other side, often putting their lives in peril, and highly likely to meet with accidents, particularly between Kukatpally and Chandanagar. This problem can be minimised by installing adequate number of over or under-bridges . The bridges already provided are scanty and not provided with escalators. The public is reluctant to use them because of the inconvenience, same senior citizens. We request the concerned authorities to look into it and come up with a solution quickly.

GHMC chief oblivious to complaints?
It is unfortunate that despite repeated requests since over a month, and even a letter published in Deccan Chronicle's 'Speak Out' column, the new GHMC Commissioner, Mr. Lokesh Kumar, has not taken any action to get the existing old dilapidated manholes changed nor instructed his officials to clear off stagnated rainwater on the roads from Old MLA quarters area to Basheerbagh X-roads and the Naga Mata temple. The two-wheeler-riders and pedestrians are facing a lot of trouble riding and crossing the roads respectively. I request the concerned authorities to take action immediately, especially in view of heavy rain last week.

No footpath in Sindhi Colony
There is hardly a place left empty on the foot paths for pedestrians to walk from Paradise to Sindhi Colony because it has been fully encroached by petty vendors and shopkeepers display their goods. Customers park their vehicles on roads, further blocking them. Pedestrians have to walk in the middle of the road, risking their lives. We request GHMC to conduct an immediate de-encroachment drive and clear the footpaths immediately before there are loss of lives by accidents.

Choking drainage in Kachiguda
We, the residents of Basant Colony, Kachiguda, which lies in the heart of the city, behind S V Basant Apartments are faced with this perennial problem of drainage overflowing on to the road, getting filled-up and, consequently chocking drainage in our houses and apartments. Repeated complaints made have had no impact from the GHMC. No permanent solution is being worked on by the authorities. The drainage lines are very narrow and have been laid over 60 years ago. They choke easily and often. Added to this problem, the drainage link line of a hostel located on the Narayanguda side of the road, was connected to this small drainage line two years back, further aggravating the problem. This choking of the drainage contaminates the municipal water supply and and our underground bore water, leading to health issues. The authorities come with a vehicle mounted machine to clean up the stuck drains but deposit the mud removed on the side of the drain on the street. They claim another vehicle would come in a day or two for picking up the slush, but it never materialises. The dump slowly finds its way back into the drain. Despite repeated complaints to the GHMC, the corporator and local MLA, no action has been taken.

Half open manhole in Suleiman Nagar
Whenever it rains heavily these days, or drain waters flow down from upper areas, some unauthorised person removes the lid of a manhole and keeps it half open, without any safety precaution of raising a flag or a board. Such actions are causing serious danger to children and elderly people crossing the road across to a crowded tiffin centre, which is adjacent the manhole. Please take action. Concerned persons, please and do the needful.

Illegal drinking water biz
We, the residents of Dwarakapuri Colony, Punjagutta, behind the Model House, are facing a lot of difficulty due to illegally running water selling plants running in our locality. Several requests, tweets, and messages to concerned officials have resulted in no action. We request the officials take quick action against the perpetrators. Area of violation: Lane opposite Federal Bank, Dwarakapuri Colony, or behind the Punjagutta Market.

Dumps closed in Bandlaguda Jagir
The GHMC dumpyards have closed their doors for garbage disposal in the Bandlaguda jagir. You can imagine how badly it must impact health of people during this season. We plan to have all garbage pickups lined in front of the collector's office Monday morning because all our repeated complaints have been ignored. Please highlight our cause by giving our justified agitation your support.

Street dogs menace at Red Hills
We stay at Red Hills Colony where there are too many dogs in our street. We are facing many problems with those dogs. We are suffering from sleepless nights due to incessant barking. These dogs also enter into residences, and not only kids, even adults are a bit scared to go outside. Please end this street dogs menace in our area.
