Hyderabad: Stephenson’s remarks spark protests

Hyderabad: Hundreds of angry me-mbers of Christian community gathered at St Mary’s Church protesting against the remarks of nominated MLA Elvis Stephenson and burnt his effigy.

The MLA’s remarks on educational institutes which are charging high fees led to anger. Though the protesters wanted to carry out a rally, the police denied permission.
