Telangana government and GHMC ties up with US Varsity

The first proposed project is to suggest ways to plug loopholes in tax collections and ways to enhance our tax revenues.

Hyderabad: In a first, the state government and the University of Southern California (USC), Los Angeles, have signed an MoU to explore the feasibility of academic cooperation leading to the initiation and development of joint programmes on Friday.

As per the MoU, the USF will collaborate with GHMC on social issues and issues of public services delivery. The first proposed project is to suggest ways to plug loopholes in tax collections and ways to enhance our tax revenues.

The USC will compile a list of global best practices and share them with GHMC to implement them apart from sharing IT technologies. It would also suggest MIS interventions in GHMC office practices. 

Video training will be provided to GHMC on best management practices, social enterprise and management practices. There will be GHMC staff and student exchanges.
