Vijayawada: Stale' snacks served at meet

Vijayawada: In what could be the result of negligence, stale food was allegedly served to the municipal corporation council members at the council meeting held to approve the draft budget on Monday.

Alarmed at the taste of snacks served, a YSRC corporator, Bulla Vijaya Kumar, interrupted the members addressing the council and complained to the chairman that the ‘Pakodi’ served as a snack to them was stale and that it can even lead to health problem, if consumed.

MLA Gadde Rammohan Rao, who was at the meeting, too was served the same. He suggested that the members do not consume it. It was then that the caterers responsible for providing snacks stopped serving it and rectified their mistake.
