Hyderabad: As the traffic congestion in the city has increased at various commercial junctions during the collusion of Bathukamma and Dasara festivals, the motorists should follow the traffic rules and cooperate with the traffic police, D Srinivas, Deputy Commissioner of Police (traffic) said..

The motorists should park their vehicles systematically in commercial areas.  Park crosswise on the road and cooperate with the traffic police so as not to disturb the main traffic, Srinivas said.

As  Bathukamma and  Dasara celebrations are going on in various areas, people should use government transport facilities of metro rail and RTC city bus as much as possible and cooperate with the traffic police to reduce traffic congestion, he said.

Police have identified areas with high congestion- Medina, Pathar Gatti surrounding areas Secunderabad, railway station, Bansilalpet, Monda Market, Ranigunj, Chilkalguda, Alwal, Bowenpally, Sanathnagar, Fathenagar, Balkampet, Uppal, Tarnaka, Amberpet, Kachiguda, Nimmboli Adda, Bagh Amberpet, Musaram Bagh, Malakpet, Koti, Afzalgunj, Badi Chowdi, Sultan Bazar and surrounding areas.

Charminar junction Nayapool Junction,  Puranapool Junction,  Yam Jay Bridge & Bhulakshmi Temple, Begum Bazar Chatri, Begum Bazar and surrounding areas of Goshamahal, Siddiamber Bazar Majeed neighborhood and Yanje Market intersection,  Mehdipatnam Market Junction, GudiMalkapur flower market, commercial areas around Dilsukhnagar.
