In major shake-up, 16 IPS officers shunted out

IG C. Sridhar of North Zone has been transferred to Crime CID. P. Nagarajan is the new IG of North Zone.

Chennai: In a a major reshuffle in the state police department, the home department had ordered transfers and postings of as many as 16 IPS officers on Tuesday. Mahesh Kumar Aggarwal and R. Dhinakaran have been posted as additional commissioner of police, Chennai South and additional commissioner of Chennai North.

M.C. Sarangan, who was holding the charge of additional commissioner, Chennai South has been transferred to state crime records bureau as its IG, while former additional commissioner (Chennai North) has been posted as IG of Establishment in DGP office, according to the order issued by home secretary Niranjan Mardi.

Meanwhile, ADGP Sailesh Kumar Yadav has been transferred to Social justice and human rights. Su. Arunachalam is new special officer of Tamil Nadu police transport corporation, the post hitherto held by Sailesh Kumar Yadav.

IG C. Sridhar of North Zone has been transferred to Crime CID. P. Nagarajan is the new IG of North Zone. IG Submit Sharan has been transferred to Enforcement from state crime records bureau.

P. Thangamani, Deputy commissioner (crime and traffic) of Salem city has been posted as deputy commissioner (law and order) of Salem city. C. Shyamala Devi has been posted as, Deputy commissioner (crime and traffic) of Salem city.
