The MVD can monitor them from the control room. With the help of the radio frequency identification and detection (RFID) card issued to the students, the school authorities and the parents can also know the movement of the vehicles.

Hyderabad: The GHMC fined St Ann’s School, Secunderabad, for dumping construction and demolition waste on the roadside. GHMC commissioner M. Dana Kishore on Thursday made a surprise inspection of the area and instructed officials to hold a special drive and take stringent action against violators.

The commissioner vented his ire at officials after finding a lot of construction debris and other waste dumped beside the roads.

He asked officials to strictly implement the rules and penalise those urinating in public.

Mr Kishore inspected public toilets at Alugaddabavi and directed the officials to maintain cleanliness near the toilets.

He directed authorities to stop leakage of drinking water and drainage immediately in co-ordination with the Metro Water and Sewerage Board. Mr Kishore visited the bylanes in Mettuguda where sanitation works have been taken up and requested residents to segregate the wet and dry garbage.

Following the inspection of the local graveyard, he asked officials to construct a separate gate and paint the compound wall properly.
