Kozhikode: Representatives of the pro-RSS Balagokulam have decided to skip Sreekrishna Jayanti celebrations this time as a tribute to the memory of the people who had perished in the unprecedented natural calamity and thousands of survivors, who have lost their possessions.

“The amount that was supposed to be spent for the fest will be canalised to reach relief to survivors,” said Balagokulam state president K.P. Babu Raj.

“We will recite bhajans and offer poojas at temples across the state. Floats of Krishna idols and folk art forms will not be part of the festival, instead volunteers will help people overcome this calamity”, he said.
