"Why have the government and ministers failed in preparing an action plan on distributing seeds and fertilisers, which will be highly essential for farmers in coming up days?," the Congress leader asked.

Karimnagar: Though TRS government has procured food grains from farmers in the district over a month ago, it has not yet deposited the relevant amounts into their accounts, charged District Congress Cell chairman Puli Anjaneyulu Goud on Monday. He accused the government of boasting about sanctioning Rythu Bandhu to farmers on one hand, but at the same time denying payments to farmers for crops purchased from them.

Anjaneyulu pointed out that many ministers are making a beeline to Huzurabad constituency in view of the impending by-elections. They are showering funds for various developmental works. This is just to divert the attention of people from the real problems people are facing, he said.

“Why have the government and ministers failed in preparing an action plan on distributing seeds and fertilisers, which will be highly essential for farmers in coming up days? Further, they should bring to notice of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao about the need to pay money for food grains procured from them. Otherwise, how will they be able to procure their farm inputs,” the Congress leader asked.

He suggested that civil supplies minister Gangula Kamalakar, who represents Karimnagar district, must focus on resolving the issue as early as possible.
