Donation of blood biggest charity: N Chandrababu Naidu

There will be no meaning if the focus is on making money without contributing to society.

Tirupati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and founder of NTR memorial trust N.  Chandrababu Naidu reiterated that blood donation is the noblest charity in the world and a remarkable act of service to humanity that saves human lives.

Mr. Naidu, who took part in the inauguration ceremony of NTR memorial trust’s blood bank in Tirupati on Saturday, said, “It gives me an immense satisfaction to launch this blood bank in the temple city. On the occasion I would like to appreciate the efforts of donors as well as each and everyone who helped the launch of world-class facility here”.

“I have committed my whole life in the service of the people of the state. In order to ensure financial stability within the family, we started Heritage in 1992, which came into operational by 1993. Today, my spouse Bhuvaneswari has transformed the Heritage foods to a respectable level. It was only Bhuvaneswari who looked after the business and I'm proud to say that we are leading a company, which can be called an ethical and a principled business,” he added.

Recalling the launch of NTR Memorial Trust, Mr Naidu said “Earning money is important, but giving back to society is equally important.”

There will be no meaning if the focus is on making money without contributing to society. Hence, we launched NTR Memorial Trust in 1997, and since then the trust has been contributing to the society with its numerous welfare activities. And, most importantly all along the trust has been operating on a non-profit platform”.

Maintaining that Tirupati has been transforming into a health hub, Mr Naidu opined that there is every need for a blood bank which can cater to the needs of the present situation. “N.T. Rama Rao established BIRRD and SVIMS in Tirupati and I launched Pranadana scheme in TTD. The NTR trust’s blood bank will cater to the needs of the masses at these hospitals”, he underlined.

Meanwhile, Nara Bhuvaneswari said, “It is a privilege to start NTR blood bank in the temple city of Tirupati, which has been a cradle for Mr Naidu’s higher education. Drawing inspiration from him, we launched the blood bank here on his 70th birthday”.

Ms. Bhuvaneswari further maintained that the NTR blood bank has been operational for the last 11 years and has provided 4,80,000 units of blood till now, saving several lives.voters in elections.
