Hyderabad: 46 detained in cordon and search operation

The police found 28 bikes and five autos without valid documents and seized them.

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad police conducted cordon and search operation at two different locations under Sanathnagar and Kukatpally police station limits simultaneously in the wee hours of Friday. 

Around 46 suspects were apprehended from both locations for questioning. At Sanathnagar, the operation was conducted at Pittala basti and was headed by Balanagar DCP Dr Y. Saishekar. 

Along with the DCP, teams from the armed reserve forces, special operations, Central crime station, excise department, 205 constables including 27 women constables, 15 inspectors, 25 sub-inspectors participated in the operation.

About 18 suspects with previous record were apprehended for questioning. The police found 28 bikes and five autos without valid documents and seized them. 

At Kukatpally, the operation was conducted at Safdarnagar. Headed by DCP Madhapur A Venkateswar Rao, 300 personnel participated in the search, during which more than 1500 houses were thoroughly checked.

28 suspects, one rowdy sheeter were apprehended for questioning, while 68 bikes, 47 autos, one car were seized for not producing valid documents.
